A coat of car wax will make the painted surface of your car shine and make it look as good as new.. Rubbing the wax in is the most important task and is done using terry towels and chamois for optimum shine. The car should be washed with a special automotive detergent and dried before waxing. There is no need to use too much wax and usually about one teaspoon of wax will give a sheen to a large portion of the car. The painted surface of the car will get the straight from the showroom look if car wax is applied in a circular motion. Put two coats of wax to avoid any possible streaking of wax on the surface of the car. The sheen of the car wax will last longer if the car is covered and parked in a shady place. Your car will always look as if it has just come from the showroom if car wax is applied regularly.

However, washing your car at home is also the option that uses up the most water. On average, a person washing his or her car at home uses at least 50 gallons of water. Remember, though– if you want to control how much water you use, you can.

Self-Serve Car Wash: The best thing about a self-sevice (generally coin-operated) car wash is that you’ll use much less water than you’d normally use at home. At a self-service car wash, washing a normal sized car uses up about twelve to fourteen gallons of water (if it’s not too dirty).

Any marks on the surface of the car can also be hidden with Car wax. However, these marks would reappear when the wax is worn off.

It is true that it takes time and effort to wax a car but the result is worth spending time at as you are able to shield your car from environmental factors which can cause the paint to fade. It is a widespread belief that the application of Car Wax lasts for a long time and there is no need to wax regularly. It is important to apply the wax at an interval of months in order to keep the exterior shiny and well maintained.

Thirdly, car wax is water resistant therefore; you can save your car from moisture. It also increases the life time of the car and it makes your car look more appealing. Therefore, for getting all of the benefits of it, good quality car wax should be preferred.

People avoid it because they argue that it is dangerous for the body of the car. However, it has been proved that it is made up of carnauba or from other natural waxes hence, they do not damage the cars.

Be cautious and avoid buying the cheap stuff. Do your research over the internet to find a better quality. Buying a car wax is only the first step to a greater shine. You should know the basics. The car wax should only be applied in parts to cover the entire frame.

A good sponge is necessary to get the soapy water onto your car from the bucket. Some folks like natural sponges, while others prefer a synthetic sponge. Either of these are fine, and can be purchased at most grocery stores. Often it has been recommended to use two separate sponges, if you would like one for the chassis and one for the wheels.

After you have rinsed the soap off of your car, it is a good idea to dry the outside of the windows, at least.

For the proper maintenance of the car, you should never compromise with the quality of the wax.

There are various advantages which can be achieved after using it such as it can save the car from the direct exposure to the ultra violet radiations. Secondly, after using it, dust pollution and environmental dust can be avoided. Thirdly, car wax is water resistant therefore; you can save your car from moisture. In addition, after using it you will realize that your car will look more fantastic.

Washing a car requires a combination of spray jet and jet spray, facility which is available in adjustable nozzles which are commonly available. To reach those inaccessible corners of your car, nozzles come with flexible extenders which are not too expensive.

There are different types of car polishes ranging from wax, liquids, gels, and sprays. Combo car polishes are the best as they do the dual function of removing the hard to dislodge oil and grime and a wax layer to protect the paint surface and give it a new look. Silicon based car polishes come under this category and are easily available in the local supermarket next door.

A car is a way to get around on the East Coast. Even if you do not pimp out your car and just use it to get around in California, the sun can eat away at your car pretty quickly. Car wax is, therefore, a necessity there to protect your car. Regular waxing will keep your car looking as new as when you bought it.

So how often do you need to wax your car? Most car experts say it depends on what kind of car wax you use and how flawless you want your car to look.
