A brand new shiny car is a joy for every owner. The pleasure, however, does not last long as over time the car’s exterior paint develops scratches and gathers dust grime and oil marks. Paint, over time also ages and starts appearing dull. Car polish helps give your car a bright shiny finish. To give the car a new look the car polish must have ingredients to remove the scratch marks as also the dust and grime.

It is critical that one understands the difference between a car polish and a car wax. A car wax merely provides shine and a water repellant layer to the paint. Since car waxes normally do not have abrasive ingredients they cannot remove scratch marks. Abrasive ingredients present in the composition of car polish helps remove scratches. Hydrocarbon solvents in the car polish remove the dust, grime and the oil marks while the abrasive ingredients remove the scratches. Abrasive ingredients works by removing a thin layer of paint, only a few microns thick. Since only a very thin layer is removed, the paint now starts looking brand new.

While the paint surface now looks new, it is still lacks the shine owing to the abrasion. Including wax ingredient in the car polish gives the burnished effect. Car polish comes in different varieties. Some are based on water soluble polishing agents. Automatic car wash systems use aqueous dispersion car polish. Silicone based car polish are most popular variety with car owners. Silicone base ensures that the car gets a shiny look. Silicone carries out three functions in a car polish, namely of acting as a water repellant, lubricant and giving the car a good shine.

Car polish comes in various forms - in tins as a liquid, or even as a spray. Aerospace technology used by NASA has also been incorporated to produce patented car polish. These patented car polishes use “Electrophoresis Dynamics”, a principle, in which the polish ingredients bond with paint surface after the abrading and cleaning. The paint ingredients and the metal of the car are bonded tightly on account of magnetic attraction for a long time. Any car polish application process is hard work, whether by using your own hands or by using car polishing automated tools. Polishing a car is an complex procedure that involves a three stage process of polishing hard, then with medium pressure and lastly soft pressure to bring back the gloss. Car polish is not just ‘nice to have’ but a necessity for the upkeep of a car.

Car wax has taken over the automobile industry by storm. The power of car wax has led to extreme makeovers that blend the line between the old and new. You must have always tried giving a shinny look that was only limited to show cars. Gone are the days when such polishing was only restricted to the large car dealers. Modern technology has led to the evolution of car wax that is cheap to produce.

They are slightly more expensive than sponges but are worth the money. The differential nozzles can be adjusted to give a spray jet or a jet spray effect to aid clean your car. To reach those inaccessible corners of your car, nozzles come with flexible extenders which are not too expensive.

Car polishes too come in various forms, as sprays, gels, liquid and wax. Combo car polishes are the best as they do the dual function of removing the hard to dislodge oil and grime and a wax layer to protect the paint surface and give it a new look.

Once the wax clouds up, remove it with your clean cloth. Shake out the cloth a lot to avoid wax build up.

While you are washing and applying car wax, pay attention to any new scratches, dents or rust. Most things can be fixed and are not a big deal, unless you let them get out of hand. Take your car to a body shop to have those small things repaired, or do it yourself.

Most of the people are always confused for the selection of the car wax because they argue that it can be dangerous for the car. However, it has been proved that it is made up of carnauba or from other natural waxes hence, they do not damage the cars. Good contents added in the car waxes can also increases their functions. The major benefit of using it is that it is very simple and easy to apply. It can be applied very fast on the cars and it gives a long lasting high gloss to the cars.

Many consumers do not know that waxing their cars can keep them looking new. Yet other consumers do not think they have to wax newer cars since they contain a clear coat.

The problem is the actual purpose of car wax gets lost in the translation of what really happens. Car wax used to be solely for maintaining the colors of cars. Without car wax colors used to turn from red to orange or black would fade to gray.

Make sure that the wax doesn’t stick in the crevices along the doors and trunk. Always use a cotton cloth to remove the paint. You might notice white stains which are actually the residue and needs to be cleaned. Use another clean cloth to finish off the car polish. These precautions are necessary to avoid any future peeling of the original paint as good polish provides a sleek look that is seldom present in old cars.

It can be applied professionally at a body shop or car wash or you can apply it yourself by rubbing it on the surface with a microsoft cloth.

Car polish and car cleaner polish are not the same thing. Car cleaner polish is used to remove bug splatter, bird droppings, and minor scratches. Car polish provides protection that can last as long as one year between coats and provides a deep shine to the car.

Apply car polish only after your car has been washed.

Car wax is not the same thing as polish. You really need to follow the application of an abrasive with car wax. To get really good results, you should both polish your car and use car wax on it. Some products have both polish and car wax and you can do them both in one step. Some experts say that you should really do them separately though.

You can also use a man made wax. A good car wax should last several months. A soft pad for applying the wax and a soft clean rag for removing the wax are your only requirements, in addition to the wax. Apply the car wax in small circular patterns. Once the wax clouds up, remove it with your clean cloth.

Therefore, for enhancing the durability of car a high quality wax is the best option.

Many people argue that such waxes can be dangerous for the cars. However, the contents of car wax like carnauba or other natural waxes do not damage the cars. You can easily apply the wax on your car. For ever lasting gloss of the car, instructions given with the product should be carefully followed.

A surface in cars has to be freed from unwanted oxidation of metals, swirls, scratches, water deposits and other similar imperfections and hence a car wax is desired to be applied. The function is not restricted only to removing contamination from surfaces but also removing surface imperfections and smoothening the surface. Polishing using a car wax is a time taking yet a very enjoyable activity for vehicle owners who can not bear with even the lightest of surface imperfection.

Earlier there was a considerable difference in a car wax and polish. While car wax takes care primarily of the oxidation of metallic parts, polish is a cleaning compound that removes impurities from the paint which prepares it for waxing, sealing, or protecting.

For two weeks and for that kind of money your car will have a 61 stages Pinnacle Miracle Detail. It will also have 4 layer wax treatment of Zymol Royale. Now you know you are getting what you paid for because the Zymol Royal is about $13,000 per container. Needless to say, vauum and indoor carpet shampoo is also included.

Now if you are not very particular and have no inclination whatsoever in paying $9,000 for a car wash, then there are other good car washes for you.
