Spray on waxes were the least durable and did the worst job at cleaning, but they were also the quickest and easiest to apply. Consumer Reports recommended them mainly for new cars whose finishes were in excellent condition, for owners who were willing to wax frequently, and for stopgap treatments in between treatments with liquid or paste wax. Paste waxes were similar to liquid waxes in durability and ease of application. Consumer Reports noted that while paste waxes used to be difficult to apply, they now come with applicators that make them even easier to apply than liquid waxes.

When you choose a car wax, consider what visual qualities are most important to you, whether you need to take the plastic detailing on your car into account, how long you are willing to take to apply wax, and how often you are willing to apply wax.

Cars often turn dull looking if car wax and washes do not happen often enough.

The Florida panhandle was found to have more air pollution above any specific area of any other state. With any amount of pollution there is a certain amount of acid rain. What the study proved was that the rain could be as acidic or more than orange juice and coke. So imagine pouring orange juice on your car.

Then for the wheel washer, they have the rotating manifold for the front and read tires. Compared with the drive way car and parking lot washing, they are more environmentally friendly. This is because they have treatment facilities for the waste water.

Now if you want to wash your car yourself, there are new and easier equipments you can use. Some of the latest sponges have the technology of locking the car wash and car wax into them.

Applying car wax is very easy and you can do it at home. Some people use car wax on their car very often, others will use it about every six months and others will wait and wax it yearly. The better the brand of car wax you use, the less often you will have to wax it. If you prefer not to do it yourself, there are local auto detailers that can do it for you. Auto detailers usually use a really good brand of car wax.

Applying car polish is actually very easy to do. Be certain that your car has been thoroughly washed and dried before your begin the application process. Once washing and drying has been completed, begin applying the car polish to one section of the car at a time. I always test an unnoticeable area of the car if I am using a new brand of car polish, just to make sure that it will not have any adverse reaction. I like to work from top to bottom on the car because there is usually more dirt at the bottom of the car that I do not want to rub around to the other sections of the car.

Your goal should be to try and wash your car at least once per month and apply car polish once every three to four months. Washing your car will prevent build up of everything that you don’t want- bugs, salt build up, etc. Using car polish or wax protects the paint from fading and makes your car look shiny.

Usually, I like to wash my car about once per week. I tend to save change in one of the compartments of my car and use the change I accumulate at the self-serve car wash.

Both liquid car polish and paste car polish have advantages.

Applying car polish to the surface of a car can minimize scratches and smooth out the finish of the car. You can have car polish done professionally at a body shop or car wash or do it yourself.

Car polish should not be confused with a car cleaner polish. Car cleaner polish is used to remove bug splatter, bird droppings, and minor scratches.

However, washing your car at home is also the option that uses up the most water. On average, a person washing his or her car at home uses at least 50 gallons of water. Remember, though– if you want to control how much water you use, you can.

Self-Service Car Wash: The good thing about a self serve car wash is that is uses quite a bit less water than washing your car at home. At a self-service car wash, washing a normal sized car uses up about twelve to fourteen gallons of water (if it’s not too dirty).

Tree sap, dirt, and bugs get stuck on there and can leave permanent spots. (If you already have some spots from years of non washing, take comfort in knowing car wax might help. ) If you are washing your car at home, make sure you use non abrasive cleaning mitts and a car safe detergent. Do not use dish soap. If you put your dirty wash cloth into the soapy water, it will put all that grime back in the soap.

It proves helpful and beneficial, not only in order for keeping the car clean but also for the maintenance of its exterior paint. A car wash can be done by oneself or by a professional car wash. But regardless of the fact that who washes the car, special care should be taken while selection of the car wash supplies, that are much important for a proper car wash.

The car wash supplies are known to many by the name car wash equipment, and some of the important ones are the car detergents, the car shampoos, tire cleaners, car waxes and glass cleaners. Some other significant car wash supplies are the conditioners, wheel cleaners, glass cleaners and vacuum cleaners.

Thirdly, car wax is water resistant therefore; you can save your car from moisture. It also increases the life time of the car and it makes your car look more appealing. Car wax of high quality brings a special shine to the car and therefore, quality car wax should be the right choice.

Most of the people are always confused for the selection of the car wax because they argue that it can be dangerous for the car. However, good car wax is made from carnauba and natural contents which increases its effectiveness.

It is like presenting your car with a two weeks vacation to a top resort. This is because for that amount and for that long, it includes a Pinnacle Miracle Detail, which has 61 stages. It will also receive Zymol Royal wax treatment in 4 layers. Now you know you are getting what you paid for because the Zymol Royal is about $13,000 per container. Of course your car will also have an indoor carpet shampoo and vacuum.

Car polish should be applied only after you have washed your car. Polish your car in only one spot at time. Put a dab of car polish on a clean microsoft cloth and apply in a circular motion. After the polish has dried, buff the area with a different clean microsoft cloth.

Paste car polish and liquid car polish give about the same results.

While car wax takes care primarily of the oxidation of metallic parts, polish is a cleaning compound that removes impurities from the paint which prepares it for waxing, sealing, or protecting. But now days new ambivalent chemicals have arrived that can fulfill the above purpose on single application.

Waxing increases the gloss and depth apart from the shine of a painted surface and ultimately this results in providing more protection. Wax is available in the market in various types of basic chemicals like paste, cream and liquid etc. The basic properties of car wax can be attributed to a chemical compound called carnuba which has high amount of fatty acids in itself which gives the lustrous screen to the surface.

Car wax is an essential item for your car no matter how shiny the paint on your car may appear. It increases the durability of the original paint of the car whether it is for a newly bought vehicle or an old one. In fact, car wax protects your car or vehicle from harmful rays, environmental pollutants and other damaging effects that tend to wipe out the original shine. The best way to car wax your car is by following a few important points. First wash your car thoroughly with clean water by using a hose and care should be taken that you keep the windows closed.

Regular old dish detergent is usually not recommended. If you put your dirty wash cloth into the soapy water, it will put all that grime back in the soap. Rinse your dirty cloth before you put it in the soapy water. Thoroughly wash all areas where salt and other roadside accumulations may be. It is recommended to occasionally use a power washer to remove anything that might not come loose with regular washing.

In the selection of the car wax one should never compromise with the quality because of price because car is an expensive asset and its maintenance also requires such expenditures.

There are various advantages which can be achieved after using it such as it can save the car from the direct exposure to the ultra violet radiations. Secondly, after using it, dust pollution and environmental dust can be avoided. Thirdly, car wax is water resistant therefore; you can save your car from moisture. It also increases the life time of the car and it makes your car look more appealing.

What does that include? Well, for starters, a car owner would require a good car shampoo to get rid of the dirt, grime and oil stains. Car shampoos are available not only for the exterior paint but also for the upholstery. The car care routine starts with a car wash using a car shampoo and then following it up with a car polishing stage. To wash down your car, carwash supplies such as a good strong hose, and differential nozzles would be required as also requisite carwash sponges and towels. More effective than traditional car sponges are the micro fiber towels which do not scratch the paint when used.
